Oh I hear you calling me in the dead of night

The drawing is beautifully drawn. The shading and lighting is well-balanced, the blue hue of the entire picture brings out the sapphire in Jayfeather's eyes, and the background detail stick out unlike most drawings. The lightning really strikes out among the clouds, and nice representation of the lightning reflecting off his eyes. There are little a few ideas to add to this to make it better, but I can't think of any right off the top of my head.

On thing many adore in a picture is the balance of light and dark. In this picture, it is good, but the lighting may have been to much. The shine off his fur makes him look like his pelt was gelled up, or made of rubber. The cheek shine is fine, but again, a dim to it could make it a bit less balloon-y. The pink in his ears could be adjusted to be a bit darker as well. A cat's ears aren't that bright.

The anatomy is great. One thing that people cannot master well. His face could stand to be a little less jagged, but a cartoon version cat ia allowed to have that 2D idea to it.

The background choice fits. The lightning symbolizes more than itself, especially when it flashes across his blind eyes. The analogy is not lost on me. So for this, I deem it to be around 4 1/2 stars overall. Again, the little changes do not mean much.
